Uzbekistan, together with the Republic of Tajikistan, is implementing a number of investment projects to ensure sustainable electricity supply to consumers in the region.
One of such projects is the reconstruction of the 500 kV Guzar (Uzbekistan) – Regar (Tajikistan) transmission line with the construction of a 64 km long section.
Elektrqishloqqurilish JSC will take part in the implementation of this project. Mobile mechanized column No. 11 will install foundations and supports, mount the cables on them. All works will be carried out in accordance with the design and estimate documentation, standards, building codes and regulations.
The line in question was a part of the Central Asian energy system during the Soviet Union. It was used to supply Tajik electricity to the south of Uzbekistan. In 2010, the power transmission line was dismantled.
According to the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov, 2021 will be a year of breakthrough for the republic and its energy security, and the ongoing project will allow the resumption of electricity supplies from Tajikistan.
